HS2 – Old Oak Common

Overview

Old Oak Common is one of the UK's most significant transport infrastructure projects, forming a major interchange between HS2, the Elizabeth Line, Great Western Railway and Heathrow Express. Designed to serve an estimated 250,000 passengers each day, the station will act as a gateway into the Old Oak and Park Royal area — one of the largest regeneration sites in the UK — supporting the creation of around 25,000 new homes and 56,000 new jobs.

The Commercial Challenge

Delivering a station of this scale and interface complexity demanded rigorous commercial control across extensive programme change, intricate contractual relationships and high-value risk. Delay, disruption and prolongation exposure had to be managed with evidence-based entitlement and a clear contractual strategy to protect commercial outcomes.
